Hi, friends! I'm here today to share a very exciting living room update with you. If you've been around Holland Avenue for a while, you'll remember that our colorful kitchen rug recently made an appearance in the living room. I loved the warmth and color it added to the space, but the color was a bit overwhelming. I started looking for a more neutral rug that would allow me to keep the color in other places without feeling too crazy.
A few days ago, I was thinking about how I could incorporate Christmas decor into our home without spending money or accumulating more stuff. Then I had a million dollar idea that I knew I could execute for zero dollars.
Week Six is here and I am equal parts giddy, proud, and exhausted. This was my first experience with the One Room Challenge, and I am glad we decided to jump in and give it a shot!

Have you ever heard the term, "chinoiserie"? I hadn't until this week. If you asked me what "chinoiserie" was before I knew, I probably would've guessed that it was a French boutique that sells either lingerie or baked goods. Or both. I don't know. The French have some pretty crazy boutiques. I learned what "chinoiserie" was this week, and it is my new favorite thing that has also always been my favorite thing.
